Lora Adkins - President
Meet Lora Adkins. Lora has lived in the Pickerington area for 9 years, and her kids became Tiger Sharks in 2019. Lora loves swimming and her favorite stroke is breaststroke. She swam competitively for many years, and she even competed in the Jr Olympics in 4 events! Lora is a flutist and enjoys being a member of the Heisey Wind Ensemble. She homeschools her 3 children and teaches private music lessons.
Monica Brooks - Vice President
Meet Monica Brooks! Monica has been a Pickerington local for over a decade and officially joined the Tiger Sharks in 2023. She ran their social media for the season and quickly knew that being on a board member was a great way to volunteer and help others. Although she isn't a strong swimmer herself, her passion for helping her son grow and improve his skills led her to become a passionate "swim mom".
Monica enjoys spending time with her blended family and homeschooling her 8-year-old son while running her own business. She enjoys cooking, exploring the world, and playing piano.
Fun fact: Monica left her corporate career in 2021 to pursue her passion of becoming an inspirational speaker and helping others to lead their best lives.
Kathy Wolfe - Treasurer
Meet Kathy Wolfe: Board Member and Finance Expert
Kathy Wolfe is a seasoned finance professional with over a decade of experience. She joined the Tiger Sharks Board in early 2023, bringing a wealth of knowledge to the team. Originally from Dayton, Ohio, Kathy moved to Columbus in 2018 and later to Pickerington in 2019.
Kathy attended Wright State University and holds both an Accounting & Finance Bachelor's Degree and an MBA. She has two children and enjoys watching and even coaching them in their various activities. In her free time, Kathy and her family enjoy spending time outdoors with activities such as giant bubble making, playing tennis, riding bikes, and gardening.
A fun fact about Kathy is that she loves working on cars. Before having children, she and her husband owned and raced a Pontiac GTP for fun
Susan Mitman - Secretary
Meet Susan, originally from Swanton, Ohio! She started swimming in first grade and continued until high school, where she transitioned to cross country. Susan received a college scholarship for her running skills, and her favorite swimming stroke is breaststroke. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing tennis, and shopping. Susan has been married to her husband Brice for 13 years, and they have three kids: Connor (10), Caleb (5), and Caden (2). Connor swims on the Tiger Sharks during the summer and GCSTO in the fall/winter, while Caleb is into soccer and swimming. Caden just loves to join in on his brothers' activities.
Fun Fact: Susan loves country music and enjoys attending concerts.
