The Tiger Sharks Swim Team is strictly ran by volunteers, including board members. Our success as a team only happens when we get volunteers to fill rolls. It's the collective effort of these dedicated parents that creates a supportive and thriving environment for our athletes.
Below are the volunteer roles for swim meets. It is crucial to fill these roles to ensure a successful event. It requires everyone to collaborate and contribute to make it a success.
Bullpen
The bullpen is a designated area where swimmers report before they can swim an event. This is typically our 10 and under swimmers that need organized.
What You'll Do - Assist in arranging the swimmers in their designated spots.
What You'll Need - A heat sheet and pen (provided).
Timer
We require 3 timers in each lane. The Tiger Sharks will provide 2 and the Away team will provide 1.
Timer 1 - Records the swimmer's time on a clipboard
Timers 2 & 3 - Report time from their stopwatches to Timer 1
What You'll Do - Time each event in the first or second half of the swim meet
What You'll Need - Stop watch (provided)
This is an ideal role for National Honor Society volunteers.
