In our ongoing effort to assemble a great coaching staff, and develop future coaches, the Tiger Sharks Swim Team is happy to announce that Maria Irwin will be joining our team as a swimmer and Junior Coach.

Maria has been a Tiger Shark since 2007! After graduating from Pickerington North High School in the spring, Maria plans to attend college in the fall. She is a Distinguished Honor Roll scholar-athlete.

Organized sports have kept Maria busy throughout the last several years. She swam for the Green Wave in middle school and was a member of the Panther Swim Team all four years of high school. Maria also ran four years with the cross country team at Pickerington North.

Maria is a lifeguard at the Pickerington Community Pool and also works at Coldstone Creamery. She helped with coaching last year, and takes on a more formal position this year as Junior Coach. Maria brings with her great words of wisdom, "Always have an extra pair of goggles!" 😀
