TEAM UPDATE

Registrations for 2018 swimmers and their siblings is open, and families are already registering. If you didn't receive your private registration link, please message us. We're still in the "Early Shark" special so fees are $125 per swimmer. The special pricing ends after our Open House on Thursday, April 25th.

Coaching - We already hired some coaches for this season and are working on rounding out the rest of our coaching staff. We'll release more info along with bios as soon as everything is in place! We are in need of a few Junior Coaches. The requirements are, 1) Must have been on the team last year, and 2) Must be 13 or older. Swimmer Recruitment - We continue to get the word out about our team every way we can. Have you seen us featured in the Pickerington Community Calendar? We're supporting Pickerington Central & North High School Swim Teams, we'll be represented at the Heritage Summer Camps and Activities Fair, we placed ads in big YMCA meets for the Garver and Lancaster Ys, and we'll continue to promote our team in the community through the spring. If you know any swimmers, please tell them about the Tiger Sharks!

Swimmer Ability - We've always had a requirement that our athletes be able to swim the length of the pool, but we've been a little lax in enforcing this. Because of our rapid team growth, we will require all NEW swimmers to swim their minimum distance (any stroke, any speed, but they must know how to swim). For 10 & Under, minimum distance is a 25; for 11 & Over it's a 50 (2 lengths). To help new swimmers and siblings of current swimmers qualify, we've partnered with GCSS with a course to get beginner swimmers swim-team-ready. Also, and this is important, to join the team all new swimmers must commit to swim in meets.
